Day four started off with a little breakfast and work. Stuart was checking out his car in the parking lot from our room and found that someone else was checking out his car as well. His car's twin! Now I know it's not just Stuart who is crazy about this car.
Calling it a night for now. More pictures from today are on the way.

Day 3 Toledo to Madison Wisconsin
Day three was more driving, more driving, more driving. It was gloomy again, and we hit a ton of traffic in Chicago. It was a long day of driving but we found a few ways to entertain ourselves. Our favorite game so far is find the funniest license plate. This is the winning one so far.
Once we arrived in Wisconsin we found this quaint local restaurant called Chili's. :) after a few cocktails and laughs we were ready to call it a night.
Day 2 DC to Toledo Ohio
We woke up on Sunday to a BEAUTIFUL day in DC. The Double Tree we stayed at is walking distance to just about everything. After a great nights sleep in a surprisingly comfortable bed we were ready to start our day. We took the dogs for a walk down the Potomac to the national monuments.
We stopped a few times along the way until we finally made it to the Lincoln memorial and the Washington National Monument.
The dogs were the biggest hit at the monuments. Everyone asked to pet them and took pictures. One lady even video taped them for a few minutes. The park rangers weren't immune to their cuteness either.
We finished up sight seeing and headed back to the car to hit the road. We only hit one snag. Apparently we can't read signs and parked in a no parking zone. We should have known, if the spot seems too good to be true in the city..... it probably is.
Here are some more pics from the drive to Toldeo Ohio. The trees are beautiful and the drive was a dream.

Day One
We arrived at the airport and waited in the LONGEST line that never seemed to move. Once we were on the plane it was pretty uneventful. We arrived in Philadelphia safe and sound to a gloomy, rainy day. With a quick lunch of Philly Cheese steaks we were ready to head to DC.
On our way we had to stop for a coffee break and a photo opp of the car.
Once we got into DC we were done for the night. Next day exploring in the City!

Not so good with the blogging
It has been surprisingly hard to fit in blogging about the trip while on the trip. Between driving, working, and sleeping there isn't much more time left in the day. I know no excuses. So....lets catch up on what we've been up to.

Journey Accross the Country
Many of you have heard but for those who haven't....We are driving across the country!
It's a long story how this trip was started. The shortened version is, we sold the Scion and bought a car in New Jersey. We are flying out to pick up the car and driving it back. Why you ask? Well, as most of you know Stuart is crazy about VW's and the one he wanted happened to be out in New Jersey. We have always wanted to drive across the country and we thought well, why not now?
Our planned stops are DC, Mount Rushmore, Denver, and Moab Utah. We are excited for the adventures to come and hope you will follow along on our journey across the country!
